The experience
Horse-back safaris in the Zambezi National Park run in two grades. A novice ride is about 2 hours and needs no experience. An experienced ride is longer (often 4 to 4½ hours) and needs real riding skill: you should be comfortable at all paces without help. The weight limit is typically about 90 kg and the minimum age typically 12, with written parental permission for under 16s.

Do I need riding experience?+
Not for the novice ride. For the experienced ride you should be a confident rider who has ridden regularly in recent years and can ride without assistance at all paces.

Is the National Parks fee included in the price?+
No. The price is per person and excludes the National Parks fee of US$20 per person for this activity, which is added to your booking.
