Helicopter or Microlight? A Plain Guide to Flying Over the Falls

Both put you above the gorge. They could hardly feel more different. Here is how to choose.

The helicopter flight is enclosed, smooth and social: four or five passengers, headsets, big windows, and a pilot who narrates the geography. It suits families, first-timers and anyone who prefers their adventure with a roof.

The microlight is the opposite. Two seats, open sides, and the sense of being carried along by the wind rather than the machine. It is quieter, more intimate and not for the nervous.
